Cycling

Perthshire boasts diverse cycling routes set against stunning landscapes of hills, woodlands, and historic sites. Catering to both casual riders and adrenaline seekers, it's a cyclist's dream, offering a mix of scenic beauty and rich Scottish culture.

The area around Alyth offers miles of peaceful cycle tracks that wind their way through forests, mountain trails, along river pathways and quiet country roads and in hidden glens criss-crossing the countryside.

There is Alyth Bike Park, a small trail centre just outside the town with a pump track and tracks of varying lengths around Alyth Hill. You’ll also find a number of mountain trails around Blackcraig Woods at Bridge of Cally and Ballo Hill near Coupar Angus and Glenshee.

Alyth Cyclery is a great place to find out more about local routes and hire, repair or buy equipment during your stay here. The Cateran Ecomuseum has a number of cycling itineraries in the area.
